THE INSTITUTION:

I.1. Allocates adequate funds for the conduct of faculty and student.

I.2. Establishes linkages with the local/national/international agencies for funding support and assistance.

I.3. Maintains a functional and long-range program of faculty/staff development to enhance research capability and competence.

I.4. Encourages the conduct of externally funded researches.

BEST PRACTICES

The research program is adequately funded by the government as seen in the MSU-IIT system-generated fund balance the Institute.
The Institute maintains a functional and long-range program of faculty/staff development to enhance research capability and competence by sending them to do PhD studies on full grants.
The Institute supports the research activities of the faculty and students through significant incentives like Research Dissemination Award (maximum of PhP 150,000) and publication incentives (maximum of PhP 75,000) among others.
The Institute adequately funds approved research projects.
Advisers of special projects, thesis and dissertation are entitled to an equivalent load and honorarium while panel members are given honorarium.
