SYSTEM – INPUTS AND PROCESSES

S.1.The institution has state of the art training laboratories shops that conform to RA6541 and meet the acceptable standards of Hospitality and Tourism Industries both in local and international sectors.


S.2. The laboratory layout conforms to standards (RA 6541 National Building Code of the Philippines/PD 856 "Code of Sanitation of the Philippines), and to particular needs of the program.

S.2.1. The BS HRM and BS HM programs comply with the minimum requirements for Kitchen Laboratories; Facilities, Equipment and Appliances provided for by CMO No. 31, S. 2001 - Minimum Curricular Requirements for BS in HM and the twenty five (25) minimum Cocktail Recipes for Bar and Beverages.

S.2.2. The college/Academic Unit has a model operational hotel and food service facilities furnished with necessary materials and equipment for:

S.2.2.1 House Keeping

S. 2.2.2 Food preparation and service; and

S.2.2.3 bar management

S.2.3 Students have separate laboratory rooms for the major areas:

S.2.3.1. Travel Agency; and

S.2.3.2. Front Office


S.3. Rooms have lightings in accordance to the standard requirements of fluorescent bulbs relative to their size.


S.4. The laboratory room has at least proper lighting and ventilation.


S.5. Each laboratory room has at least two exit doors that open outward.


S.6. There is a laboratory for shop work for specific technologies.


S.7. There is a computer laboratory with at least 15 usable computer units.


S.8. The Kitchen Laboratory has facilities for both hot and cold preparations as well as baking activities. It should be subdivided into completely equipped unit kitchens.


S.9. The Kitchen Laboratory has provisions for cooking demonstration and dining area for eating and evaluation of the cooking activities.
