IMPLEMENTATION

BEST PRACTICES

The following are deemed best practices of the Bachelors of Science in Hospitality Management program (formerly BS Hotel and Restaurant Management) in Graduation Requirements:

  • The Institute administrators, specifically the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, require the attendance of newly hired employees to pedagogical training and workshop.

  • The launch of the InFLEX Faculty Mentoring and Certification Program which aims to equip faculty members with the necessary 21st century instructional skills and competencies is timely and relevant.

  • The recognition for outstanding performance of faculty members is well-rounded and focuses on the different areas (instruction, research, and extension).

  • The Department of Hospitality and Tourism Management has strong, active linkages to the industry which help in ensuring that the experiences of the students for OJT and internship help them in acquiring or developing necessary skills and competencies needed in their career.
